Every time I say we are done with baseball, another story comes through. It turns out the silver lining to our recruiting losses to MLB mean that Matt Gaudet will get a scholly again.

A short interview with CB Patrick Peterson about how he hopes to improve this season. Also the team had full contact drills today and Varney at the Times-Pic thinks Shepard was in the thick of it. Despite the new artificail turf outside, practice continues to be pushed inside due to rain. Here, Les talks about yesterdays practice and how the team is getting a little dinged up.

In what should be the final bit of baseball news this year, the MLB signing deadline has passed, but not without another loss from our roster. Pitcher Brody Colvin was supposed to be another great part of the 2010 class, but he signed with the Phillies at the last minute. CPM called a press conference to discuss whats left of the class and talk about how his staff deals with the problems of modern baseball recruiting.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but work and show prep have got me swamped.

The Geaux Show Pre-Season Spectacular will be taped and filmed(!) LIVE this weekend from somewhere near the I-12/I-55 Interchange. We will stream the whole mess here and will be taking your calls (if anybody does).

Keep an eye on the talkshoe widget to the left to see when we set the time for the show, sometime saturday evening or sunday afternoon.

Les Miles after Tuesdays practice; the first as a full sqaud and in pads.

I have to hand it to LSU, they are finally doing the right thing and making the geaux zone into a great place to find lsu videos for free. Games and coaches shows are still behind a pay wall, but with the sec's new media site coming soon, i don't think it matters much. This is the kind of content that the geaux zone should always have had and a tip of my mexican leather hat to them for making it embeddable. The player could use some work(like a volume control) and i wish it was flash instead of QT, but baby steps my friends. We truly live in a glorious age.

And if that wasnt enough to brighten your day, LSU begins shipping season tickets this friday. I'm like a kid at christmas waiting for the UPS man now.
