Soccer!?
Coach Miles after Wednesdays practice.
Bored on Sunday before the Saints game? The Lady Tigers soccer team is playing USC at home on da U live at 2pm CST.
LSUSports.net has a nice profile piece on S Danny McCray that will run in the game program this week.
Justin The Blogger Goar has another good game breakdown for this week. ATVS is also doing a cross-blog interview and a pretty good look at the SEC West as a whole.
Probably the biggest SEC story this week is the horrible ref team of Marc Curles who botched the end of the LSU/UGA game and then gave away the Arky/UF game have finaly been suspended.
Pretty good piece in the Times-Pic about the defensive players are adjusting to this years quick rotation scheme. And Rosetta at the Advoc rightly points out that Auburns' tendency to run it up the gut should mean a huge game for Kelvin Sheppard.
Don't forget, we'll be out on the PG at 8:00 am sharp for the best pregame show filmed at LSU this weekend.
Here's a post practice interview with RB Charles Scott, also from Wednesday.

Rugby!? Les Miles after last Thursday's practice. (Beware the buzzing noise, they must have a busted light or something)
Remember that there will be another LIVE Geaux Show tonight at 8pm CST or thereabouts. Wee has some harsh words for the poor offensive performance against Idle State.
This weeks game is going to be on ESPN2 at 6:30pm and Tigervision has reared it's ugly head for the Last-of-the-series Tulane game, because no professional sports broadcasting company should be forced to cover the abject horror that is Tulane football. Interestingly, in the announcement LSU says this will be the only Tigervision game this year. The only game with no confirmed TV left is LA Tech, which I fear could be put in the JP/LF/Raycom/SECPN/Dave Neal Zombie slot. Get out your shotguns and sunscreen folks...

Any idea what this is about? I hope it's not something stupid like an attempt to make the geo-meter twitch again...
First BCS poll is out and our journey starts at 9, which is about where the polls have us.
Both basketball teams have begun practice this week. The season for both starts in less than a month so expect more news as it approaches.
Not much from the usual crop of writers worth reading yesterday, except for the verbose as always Dandy Don who took the bye week opportunity to give an early opinion on our prospects for next year. And ATVS seems to have found the light switch in the blog shack after what was a very quiet week for them.

The Rev continues to produce some of the best little nuggets of info a Tiger fan could want. There are new seats being installed in the south end of The PMAC and Rugby pulled a major upset this weekend. (that's them in white up top)
Here's yesterday's press conference, see ya tonight at 8pm.

Link Gumbo Here are the Basketball press conference videos from Wednesday. Both start off with a few notes from Senior SID Kent Lowe, The hardest working man at all of LSU.
Men's Basketball Media Day
Women's Basketball Media Day
As you could probably guess, no show this weekend. If you are desperate to talk college football, surely some of the crew will end up at Mariner's Inn in Hammond Saturday night...
Even thought there was no press conference Monday, Les still had to answer the hard questions from the fans on Wednesday night. Dandy Don has the great break down as always (scroll down to Thursday's post) or you could give a listen yourself.
Pretty weak post today, i know, but it's bye week friday. Time to catch up on all that pesky "work" you've been ignoring this season. Give that yard one last cut before the weather turns. Give the liver a nice break before we head down the stretch. See you all bright and early Monday morning.
